Anything that you can conceive of in the way of achievement, of becoming, must and does inevitably involve the process of constantly pushing through what were previously boundaries and establishing new and newer comfort zones.

Zero tolerance for feeling less than the best 2.0; The entry point coordinates

In order to strip to the core, all of this self-help, spiritual mumbo jumbo that I myself willing partake in, the fact of the matter simply remains that all beings wish themselves well and want to feel good.

In the case of us, thinking, human beings, our reason for not feeling good as much and as often as we’d like to is one that is entirely self-induced. The fact that we are unaware and do not know how or why this is, doesn’t change a thing about it being so. We function on many levels, all of which have a massive influence on how we are yet for the most part we remain completely ignorant of all but the grossest of these which is the body and even that we do not understand.

All of the impulses and stimuli that we react to, whether they are internal such as thoughts or external, those pertaining to the 5 senses, all are processed and experienced through the body. It is the body that tells us if we are feeling good or not.

Feeling good is the expression and experience of harmony. When disharmony is being felt it is almost always a result of the minds false interpretations and it happens because we have never cared to give it attention and learnt to tame it. The unruly mind will instantly offer solutions and point to causes of why we aren’t feeling good, all of them external and therefore out of our control. Someone said something to you, you don’t have what you want &/or don’t want what you have, you aren’t who you’d like to be etc.

If you simply keep in mind the primary desire, that all you really want is to feel good and that the only reason you want anything is because you believe it will make you feel good, then you can go directly for the source of what your whole being yearns for. Feeling good. Now.

Unlike the truth which is by its nature simple and easy to understand, most people themselves are just too complicated to recognise it and accept it. Your mind will demand a reason to feel good, something to hold onto from a re-membered past or an imagined future. Alright then, tell it this; “I now understand this divine paradox of working towards what I think will bring me that, which will in turn cause me to feel good, but in order to get it, I need to be feeling good now. I cannot strive for something from a state that I do not prefer and hope to create its opposite.”

When you are outside of the feel-good state you must instantly get back into harmony and the entry point is always now through the gate of acceptance. If you imagine that you will feel good only after certain conditions have been fulfilled then you are again setting yourself up and disadvantaging yourself unnecessarily. Most people are sorrowfully (not blissfully) unaware of how they themselves perpetuate their own misery because if they knew and could see exactly how, they’d stop it instantly.

Accept your situation as it is right now. The situation, whatever it is, does not and is not matter. What matters and all that matters is that you accept it. Acceptance means acknowledging that it is simply the way it is, it does not mean you prefer it nor abhor it. If you refuse to accept the current coordinates of your situation, and it is merely a decision, then you are trying to act from a position in which you are not.

When you get yourself feeling good and learn to hold and raise that frequency, only then do you have something to offer others. You might have thought otherwise but taking care of yourself and making sure that you feel good is actually the most unselfish thing you can concern yourself because when you are in harmony, all those around you benefit a lot more from it than you yourself.

Replicate the highest state and then live into it

Imagine a state of being, in which you could not possible conceive things to be or ever get any better. In this ultimate state or condition, it would simply be unthinkable that any more could be added. Well now, by the very nature of this state, things actually do get better still. You see the other side of the coin is that inherent to, and inclusive of such a state, “things”, could also never get any worse! Do you get it? Are you beginning to understand?

If you replicate and evoke this frequency of being in the same way that you can imagine winning the lottery and genuinely get excited about it, you start becoming more and more sensitive to its ever subtler vibrations and nuances. Similar to being shown a most beautiful and intricate work of art and only getting a few seconds to see it, you will get the idea of what it is about. You will undoubtedly recognise it as beautiful. However, if you are permitted to admire it for days on end, you will uncover all of the details and witness something altogether different and incomparably more magnificent. 

When you deliberately choose to stay focused in the state you prefer and follow where it inevitable leads, you start to feel feelings that go part and parcel with that particular frequency and quite naturally, you also tune into thoughts that were previously unavailable. As natural progression and the laws of growth unfailingly operate, your thoughts will then lead to corresponding words that will be followed by congruent actions and in this way, the process of creation comes full circle. 

To get what you claim you want in and out of life, create from and only from this state of the highest and most noble. It really is as simple and wonder-full as that. Hold the frequency you prefer. 

Live your life intelligently, with the interests of your deepest self always in mind.

After all, what do you really want? Not perfection; you are already perfect. What you seek is to express in action what you are. For this you have a body and a mind. Take them in hand and make them serve you.

To imagine that some little thing — food. sex, power, fame — will make you happy is to deceive yourself. Only something as vast and deep as your real self can make you truly and lastingly happy. The self is universal and its aims are universal. There is nothing personal about the self. Increase and widen your desires till nothing but reality can fulfil them. It is not desire that is wrong, but its narrowness and smallness. Desire is devotion. By all means be devoted to the real, the infinite, the eternal heart of being. Transform desire into love. All you want is to be happy. All your desires, whatever they may be, are expressions of your longing for happiness. Basically, you wish yourself well.  

The longing to be happy is there because you love yourself. By all means love yourself — wisely. What is wrong is to love yourself stupidly, so as to make yourself suffer. Love yourself wisely. Both indulgence and austerity have the same purpose in view — to make you happy. Indulgence is the stupid way, austerity is the wise way. Once you have gone through an experience, not to go through it again is austerity. To eschew the unnecessary is austerity. Not to anticipate pleasure or pain Is austerity. Having things under control at all times is austerity. Desire by itself is not wrong. It is life itself, the urge to grow in knowledge and experience.

Live an orderly life, but don’t make it a goal by itself. It should be the starting point for high adventure.

Remember to remember

…the most important. Remind yourself to remember that which needs to be remembered and it is this: you alone are the determining factor of all that you experience. Forget cosmic influences, karma, destiny, horoscopes and so forth. All of this exists in the (your) mind alone, therefore unreal and influences you only to the degree that you allow it to. Make up your mind that this is so, because you want it to be, test it, verify it and enjoy the be-coming of what you really are; not “a” Being, but Being itself. Pure and unlimited.

Attitude of Gratitude, the instant solution to any problem

A rare thing happened to me today, something that I haven’t experienced for many months. I had a bad day.

At least that is what it felt like for those few hours while it was happening, not that anything bad actually happened. I simply felt less than the best, I wasn’t “skyscraping” as I have been. Being such an uncommon state these days, I couldn’t help but notice this not-feeling-too-good-about-myself attitude and decided to put an instant stop to it and revert back to my skyscraping status.

The many reasons for why I wasn’t feeling too good are nowhere near as important as the realisation of the fact that they are always and certainly were in this case, mere creations of the critical mind and therefore unreal. By treating them as such, withdrawing attention from the problem and resetting my state by going for a run and then a swim in cold water, I effortlessly returned to where I prefer to be.

During my run I was thinking about this situation and I thought back on how much energy I used to put into wanting to resolve these states of despair, I used to think so hard and long about why these fluctuations come up and how to overcome them but all I was doing was perpetuating the condition by focusing on it.

I realised today that denial as such is not an option or a solution but that the complete and instant withdrawal of attention from what you do not prefer, most certainly is.

Once the natural state of joy, ease and unlimited, unfolding potentiality is reasserted, what always always always remains, is a deep sense of appreciation and an attitude of gratitude for the way things are, as they are, including myself and all others.

I love it.

P.S during and after my run I also realised with full clarity, the importance of setting your vibrational tone to the one you prefer. Not by thinking but by going direct and influencing the feelings first. Once that is taken care of and you get yourself feeling good, the thoughts that then become accessible are of a completely different, much more desirable nature. I think I’ll go into that a bit more in a future post.
