Have you ever thought about how you are spending your time and where or whom you are paying your precious attention to?
It is no coincidence that in the English language the words spending and paying are used in connection with the most valuable of commodities that each person possess in equal measure; time and attention. The reason for this is that time and attention can and often are denominated in monetary terms; “Time is money”. However keep in mind that money, as deeply immersed in the believing of its reality as we are, is still only one expression energy.
What we should be concerned with is the primary, supreme energy that creates and gives rise to everything in existence, including money. This energy is at our disposal all the time and we can learn to control it by focusing our attention.
If you look around and take stock of your life from this perspective, you will see that your current situation whatever it happens to be, is a direct result of how you invest your time and attention. What you do with your daily apportionment of 24 hours determines what you experience. This may seem obvious enough but it is often taken for granted and its importance overlooked for that very reason that it is so blatantly obvious.
First the recognition then followed by a conscious decision to do one thing as opposed to another is how you change your experience. Everything happens by your agreement. You either accept or reject every single thing that is a part of your life experience and the choices you make every instant, whether by design or unconsciously, are what translates into you experiential reality.
Personal power lies in the knowing that you are fully capable of creating a significantly different experience from one moment to the next by the choices you make.
The best thing you can do for yourself and for others is to become stubbornly unyielding in paying attention to and spending time on ONLY those things that you prefer, that bring you joy, fulfillment and perpetuate happiness.
